Ingredients
- 5 oz Strong coffee (freshly brewed using 0.5 oz ground coffee and 2.5 oz water)
- 10 oz Milk (full fat)
- 1 oz Dark chocolate (with 70% cocoa solids)
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1/2 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon Ground allspice
- 3/4 teaspoon Ancho chili powder (or other chili powder of your choice)
- Pinch of salt
- Whipped cream
- Grated chocolate
- Ancho chili powder
- Ground cinnamon or a cinnamon stick
Instructions
- Heat the milk, then stir in the honey, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and chili powder. Let it infuse for 15 minutes.
- Strain the infused milk and return it to a clean pan.
- Add chopped chocolate and a pinch of salt to the pan. Heat and stir until the chocolate melts, then remove from heat at 158F.
- Brew coffee and pour it into the pan. Stir.
- Optionally froth the drink, then pour it into warmed mugs or coffee glasses.
- Top with cream and garnishes, then serve immediately.
