Ingredients

  • Coarse salt
  • Ice cubes
  • 2 ounces gin
  • 3 ounces fresh grapefruit juice (freshly squeezed and strained is best)
  • Grapefruit wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. Chill a highball glass and pour salt onto a small plate or bowl.
  2. Moisten the rim of the chilled glass with grapefruit juice or water, then dip the rim into the salt to coat it.
  3. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  4. Pour 2 ounces of gin over the ice.
