Ingredients

  • 0.30 oz red Jell-o
  • 0.25 oz unflavored gelatin packets
  • 3/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup tequila
  • 3/4 cup boiling water, divided
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • Whipped cream (optional garnish)
  • Maraschino cherries (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the empty shot cups on a flat surface or baking sheet.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, dissolve the red Jell-o in 3/4 cup of boiling water, then add the cold water and mix well.
  3. Fill each shot cup a quarter of the way with the Jell-o mixture and refrigerate until set, for about an hour.
  4. In another bowl, dissolve the unflavored gelatin in orange juice. Add boiling water and stir until the gelatin is dissolved.
  5. Stir in the tequila and fill the shot cups until they are about 3/4 full.
  6. Refrigerate the shots until set, for about 1.5 hours.
  7. Garnish with whipped cream and a cherry, if desired.
