Ingredients

  • 0.30 ounce red Jell-o
  • 0.25 ounce unflavored gelatin packets
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons tequila
  • 2.25 cups boiling water (divided)
  • 0.50 cup cold water
  • Whipped cream (optional garnish)
  • Maraschino cherries (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place shot cups on a flat surface and set aside.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, dissolve the red Jell-o in 1 cup of boiling water, then stir in the cold water.
  3. Fill each shot cup a quarter of the way with the Jell-o mixture and refrigerate for around 1 hour until set.
  4. In another bowl, dissolve unflavored gelatin in orange juice, then add boiling water and stir until dissolved.
  5. Stir in the tequila, then fill the shot cups about three-quarters full with the orange mixture.
  6. Refrigerate for 1.5 hours until set.
  7. Garnish with whipped cream and a cherry, if desired.
