Ingredients
- 2 lemongrass stalks
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 oz Kentucky bourbon
- 5 large Thai basil leaves
- 2 tbsp lemongrass syrup
- 1 tbsp cold water
- Crushed ice
- Additional Thai basil for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare the lemongrass syrup by chopping the lemongrass into small pieces and boiling it with water and sugar until it thickens into a syrup.
- In a highball glass, muddle Thai basil leaves with cold water and lemongrass syrup.
- Stir in the Kentucky bourbon.
- Add crushed ice and garnish with additional Thai basil sprigs.
