Ingredients

  • 2 oz orange juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 3-4 dried figs
  • 2-3 fresh sage leaves
  • Pinch of ground cloves
  • Ground cinnamon (optional, for garnish)
  • Sugar (optional, for garnish)
  • 5 oz Champagne

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the orange juice, cinnamon stick, dried figs, sage leaves, and cloves. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Turn off the heat and let the mixture steep for 15 minutes. Then, strain the mixture and refrigerate until chilled. It's recommended to do this step the day before serving if possible.
  3. If desired, prepare a cinnamon-sugar rim by mixing the cinnamon and sugar on a small plate. Moisten the rim of the Champagne flute with water and then swirl it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
  4. Pour about 2 ounces of the infused orange juice into each Champagne flute.
  5. Top each flute with about 5 ounces of Champagne and enjoy!
