Ingredients

  • 1 cup full-fat coconut milk
  • 1/4 cup cream of coconut
  • 1/4 cup evaporated milk
  • 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 2 oz Puerto Rican rum
  • Cinnamon sugar and cinnamon stick for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large container, combine the coconut milk, cream of coconut, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and vanilla extract.
  2. Mix thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well combined.
  3. Add the Puerto Rican rum to the mixture and stir well.
  4. Strain the liquid using a fine mesh strainer to remove any clumps of cinnamon or nutmeg.
  5. Refrigerate the coquito for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, before serving.
  6. When ready to serve, garnish the glass with a cinnamon sugar rim and a cinnamon stick.
