Ingredients
- 1 oz. aged rum
- 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
- 1/2 oz. simple syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 8-10 mint leaves
- 1-2 oz. brut-style Champagne or dry sparkling wine
- Mint leaf, for garnish
Instructions
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the aged rum, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, Angostura bitters, and mint leaves.
- Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, or until the shaker is frosted on the outside.
- Double strain the mixture into a coupe glass.
- Top the cocktail with 1-2 oz. of brut-style Champagne or dry sparkling wine.
- Garnish with a mint leaf.
