Ingredients

  • 1 oz. aged rum
  • 1/2 oz. fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 oz. simple syrup
  • 2 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 8-10 mint leaves
  • 1-2 oz. brut-style Champagne or dry sparkling wine
  • Mint leaf, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the aged rum, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, Angostura bitters, and mint leaves.
  2. Shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds, or until the shaker is frosted on the outside.
  3. Double strain the mixture into a coupe glass.
  4. Top the cocktail with 1-2 oz. of brut-style Champagne or dry sparkling wine.
  5. Garnish with a mint leaf.
