Ingredients

  • 1 1/3 cups apple cider
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2-3 apple slices
  • 2-3 pear slices
  • 2 thumb-sized ginger slices
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/8 tsp allspice
  • 1/16 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 oz Myers's Dark Rum

Instructions

  1. In a pot, combine apple cider, butter, apple slices, pear slices, ginger, cinnamon stick, allspice, cloves, and brown sugar.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove the pot from the heat and stir in the rum.
  4. Optional: Serve with thinly sliced apples and pear slices, and garnish with cinnamon sticks.
