Ingredients

  • 1 oz Irish whiskey (preferably Connemara)
  • 1 oz applejack (American apple brandy)
  • 1/2 oz Amaro Montenegro
  • 1/2 oz Cinnamon Syrup
  • 1/4 oz fresh lemon juice
  • 3 dashes Angostura bitters
  • 3 dashes orange bitters
  • 3 oz hot water
  • 1 star anise pod, for garnish
  • Small pinch of freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a warmed mug or heatproof glass, combine the Irish whiskey, applejack, Amaro Montenegro, Cinnamon Syrup, fresh lemon juice, Angostura bitters, orange bitters, and hot water.
