Warm Winter Spice Cranberry Punch

A warm and comforting non-alcoholic punch with a blend of cranberry, citrus, and winter spices.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 orange
  • 1 cup cranberry juice
  • 1 cinnamon stick (3 inches)
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger, peeled and sliced lengthwise
  • Sugar, to taste

Instructions

  1. Peel four 3-inch-long strips of peel from the orange and set aside.
  2. Juice the orange and strain out the pulp.
  3. In a medium stockpot, combine orange juice, reserved orange peel, cranberry juice, cinnamon stick, and ginger.
  4. Taste and add sugar if desired.
  5. Heat over medium-high heat until simmering.
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Strain and discard solids.
  8. Serve hot.
