  • 1 cup Chardonnay (or Riesling)
  • 1/4 cup Orange Juice
  • Juice from 1/2 Mandarin
  • 2 tablespoons Triple Sec
  • 1 Lemon, sliced
  • 1/4 Orange, sliced
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 Star Anise (whole)
  • 2 Allspice Berries (whole)
  • 1-2 Cloves (whole)
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar (or to taste)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the white wine, orange juice, and orange liqueur.
  2. Add the sliced orange, lemon, and the spices.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer.
  4. Let it simmer for about 15 minutes, then taste it and add sugar if needed.
  5. Continue simmering for another 15 minutes, tasting periodically.
