Ingredients
- 2 egg yolks
- 1/2 Tbsp sugar
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 1/2 oz bourbon
- 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
- 2 egg whites
Instructions
- In a bowl, beat the egg yolks until they lighten in color, then gradually add the 1/2 tablespoon of sugar and continue beating until dissolved.
- Add the milk, cream, bourbon, and nutmeg, stirring to combine.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites to soft peaks; gradually add remaining 1/2 tablespoon of sugar while beating until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the egg whites into the eggnog mixture.
- Chill the eggnog before serving.
