Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 oz bourbon
  • 1/4 tsp freshly grated nutmeg
  • 2 egg whites

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat the egg yolks until they lighten in color, then gradually add the 1/2 tablespoon of sugar and continue beating until dissolved.
  2. Add the milk, cream, bourbon, and nutmeg, stirring to combine.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites to soft peaks; gradually add remaining 1/2 tablespoon of sugar while beating until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the egg whites into the eggnog mixture.
  5. Chill the eggnog before serving.
