  • 1/3 oz brandy
  • 1/3 oz orange liqueur (Triple Sec or Grand Marnier)
  • 1/4 oz simple syrup
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1/4 apple, thinly sliced or diced

  • Rosemary, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a pitcher, mix together the red wine, orange or apple juice, brandy, orange liqueur, and simple syrup.
  2. Add the cinnamon sticks and fruit to the pitcher, then gently stir to combine.
  3. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least three hours, or ideally overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  4. To serve, pour the winter sangria over ice in individual glasses.
  5. Gently roll a small sprig of rosemary between your hands to release the oils, and use it as a garnish for each glass.
  6. Enjoy!
